Sally will be appearing in Mexico where she has been invited to perform as
part of a British Council event in Mexico City and at the Poetry festival
in Cuerniva.
Sally, who is also the Co-Director of ‘ TipofyourTongue will also be
setting up an educational exchange while she is there so that schoolchildren
in Cornwall have the chance to create poetic links with children in Mexico
. She is thrilled with the opportunity to work with the children of Mexico
and looks forward to a fruitful exchange of different ideas from both cultures.
It will be interesting to see what she brings home from Mexico, something tells me that her quirkiness and magic will not be out of place with such colourful people and exotic surroundings.

Performance poet Sally Crabtree from the UK has been invited to appear
at this year’s opening ceremonies of the Venice Biennale with her ‘
Poetree ‘. The gallery has requested that she incorporate a video piece
within her installation which can be played during the times she is not doing
a live performance. She will be collaborating with British video artist Denzil
Monk to create such a piece and also use the opportunity of being in Italy
to work with Italian photographer Guido Castagnoli to create work that can
be shown back in the UK as part of the ‘ TipofyourTongue ‘ poetry
festival in October.
A tour will then be planned of the show for galleries and literary festivals
in the UK and in Italy for the Spring of 2008.
